Yes - it is a section. If you are going to use it, make sure the program areas are related as they are in this diagram. Each "layer" (grey areas) has coresponding program which are "mixed" together by contiguous space (yellow areas)
i am interest in the use of text, especially because I've dabbled with it already ultimately providing a simple diagram. I think text is very literal and makes diagrams like this very simple to understand. It also eliminates the confusion of color coding things and constantly referring to a key. I will try to use it in a plan form... my idea is to do another over lay of program over the site and use text to explain the spaces and how they function. I will post it when a rough copy is produced.
