Elevation FINALLY corrected

Here is the Western Elevation, added some shadows and I think it did alot as far as adding some depth. The drawing was way too flat previously. Let me know what you think. Tried to use the people to highlight the more public area's rather than labeling it....which i'm really trying to avoid doing.

Site Plan Revised

Final Changes that I made to the site before cutting my topo's. Theres a new retaining wall toward the south that follows the edge of the amphitheatre. It had to be created in order to accuratly make a connection between the surface above the gym and the area on the right. Took me a long time to fix all my topographical disasters i created. No more " -10, 0, 10, and 20. The real topo's are 2 , 12, 22, and 32. The water is 2 feet below land around the whole site.

Plans Thus Far

Plans are in order, Floor Plane -10 is on top, followed by 0, and lastly is +10

I know the hatches are turned off,
But here is where im at on my plans. Sections, elevations and model are all underway.
I realize these drawings look like mayhem right now, but theres a method to my madness...I think.

Last Changes to Study Model

Professor Amatuzo stopped through today and was talking to Steve about my project. He commented that everything seemed to be working well except that the corner where the residences transition into the open space infront the amphitheatre seemed disconnected from the rest of the flow of the model. I think this made an improvement.

Model-Part 3

These are the newest changes. What ive done is as follows.
a) Pulled the facade of the medical building seen best on the lower picture out toward the front of the site in order to continue the geometry of the existing building around the corner. It actually seems to open open the entrance a bit more, creating another layer of circulation that has not yet quite become unnecessary. Its necessary because it allows you to walk through the portion of program, gaining a better relationship to your surroundings in that particular area of the project.
b) Two circulation cores added to manhattan edge of the project. I feel like its only natural that while moving throughout these spaces vertically, you may as well have a preety skyline to look at :)
c) Pushed a portion of the residences back toward the waterfront, opening up circulation toward the park, and emphasizing the path of travel with a cantelever ( Will most likely be used for smokers in foul weather ) and a collonade of tree's to make the gesture more pronounced. The tree's also cast a nice reflection within the water element infront of the amphitheatre.
Let me know what everyone thinks. I feel like its getting a bit closer. Now onto plans.

Model- Part 2

Changes Include the reflection pond, core cutouts of main spaces for double height space, etc.

Planning Pandemonium

All of this is somewhat free association sketching. I have very little insight as to what ive done here other than, its starting to work. Trying to translate the concept of a "blur" architecturally without being exceptionally cheesy about it is quite a task.

Ive sketch shaded each plan gray representing the ground floor at that given level. These are attempting to pull the different ground planes through and around one another strategically in order to better translate them into a meaningful pattern of circulation while not loosing the connection to program....in fact, improving them on Tuesdays plans.
Im starting to pickup on a rythem that Im going to really nail in order to pull this off, however as you can see in the 3rd level (+10') plan, the pulling of these levels is really starting to inform program placement as well as circulation change among the 3 levels.
Thoughts?

Updated Graphics

So Ive changed the graphics to fit the description of how I was suggested to do so. What does everyone think? Does it read correctly now?

Obviously, Darker hatch is the level being cut through. White is Ground plane at zero and the lighter hatch is the -10 level. I have also darkened up the hatch on the existing to bring it out a bit more. Any input appreciated.

Updated Thesis Statement

Thesis Statement:

Composite Community Wellness Center

Throughout time, society has come across issues of poverty and crime. Some efforts have been made to correct the minds of the unfortunate however no valid attempts have been made to revitalize them into a positive aspect of our community. Persons to be accepted within the program regimen are homeless, substance abusers, recently released inmates, and the mentally unstable. The proposed goal is to detain, and rehabilitate into society through a means of education and integration. The facility will incorporate a means of community as a therapeutic device as a more holistic approach to rehabilitation. Through the use of existing conditions both in building structure and existing structure of lives to be corrected, an architectural statement will create a blur of the physical and metaphysical aspects of space and human interaction within those spaces. In order to create this “ blur “ of conditions old and new a number of provisions will be made to accommodate community interaction such as educational facilities, housing, and administrative help including healthcare, and social services. The aim of such an institution is to give those less fortunate the means to re-learn many things that members of community take for granted. In order to benefit its users, the building will be comprised of 3 major components. These components, Medical, Educational, and Social will have 3 essential stages ranging from intensive treatment, to therapeutic treatment, and finally rehabilitation. Major program elements are to include a welcoming center, medical/research facility, a school, community gallery and a distribution area where newcomers will be evaluated and placed in the most beneficial stage to suit their needs. The campus program elements will both react to the occupants of the space as well as the existing structure of the Renwick Smallpox Hospital seamlessly to create a healthy, successful environment for both the community as well as the clients.

Visual Statement

Let me know what you think of this....basically showing the
architectural deconstruction, turning the "deconstruction"
of the human mind into something positive.....
