PROPOSED SITE CONDITION

EXISTING SITE CONDITION

  1. Does the geometry have a relationship with the grid of the neighborhoods? Does the grid to the north extend? Could you make a connection around the pond to this community? Where do the Boy Scouts enter the park? Can the side facing the seniors be more free-form while the opposite be more geometrically composed? It looks like you are on this path now – you should develop this strategy. Have you done the site sections? Have these for Tuesday it’s important to discuss the grade, movement and datum’s as they work in section. What is the height of the Existing school, the New High School, the senior center and the youth center? What are the commonalities – the differences? Finally, what is in the space facing the town center? You also need better (more accurate) drawings of the existing conditions of the town center area.

  2. my path into the trees is actually an existing road which brings people to and free the rest of the park... further more reaching to the pond.... north of the site is an existing parking lot with a horse back riding section and more ball fields... i choose not to go any further north but can discus interventions tomorrow in class... I am working on a section and sketched up perspectives.... the area which you question i believe is my out door amphitheater or gathering space.. this also we can discus more about tomorrow...
