Progress

I was thinking about our progress today and we need to pick up the pace. It’s coming up on our fourth week into the semester and not enough documentation or progress is being made. Everyone must continue to post their sketches and models to the blog – it’s a requirement – and get going on the plans and sections in a serious way. Everyone has a strong concept so I now see our meetings as a design studio. By the end of next week I expect to see a full set of drawings and a complete model. By March 2nd we will have a really good idea about what the architecture is and its direction both spatially and materially and what avenues of research you will take in completing the project. On this day (3/2) you will have a complete set of drawings that present the material nature of your intentions in context. Focus your attention on this. And do ask questions, however, now that it’s a design studio, our language is different and I can only understand drawings and models.
