up-to-date thesis statement

Thesis

Creating a space that stimulates the human mind through more than just sight. Showing the importance of smell, touch and sound and how it affects productivity in learning and creativity. The impact of isolation on the human mind and body is a healthy treatment. People living in towns and cities are left with very few places to retreat and be at one with nature. The tranquil environment of an isolated area helps infuse the mind with silence and allows the human mind to think beyond its usual capacity. It leaves the person in perfect harmony with their surroundings. Unlike common work areas, a significant amount of research will be conducted outdoors to gain that sense of tranquility but will also have the option of working inside in a common laboratory area to get that human interaction that is also needed in the thought process. Kahn believes that art is seen through the eyes of the beholder and that certain people work better in certain atmospheres. Although we will give the scientists will be working indoors or out, the space inside will be an organic architectural structure. There will be an abundance of other outdoor elements brought inside to stimulate human senses indoors such as the sound of running water; for touch; plants and textures floors; smell; fresh flowers and sea breezes.
