Thesis Statement: Draft

Mission Statement:

To create an environment that evokes past cultural and religious ideas and places them into a modern Monestic-Retreat Complex. A place where all people, young and old, can get a sense of community. A place for woship and prayer. A place to reflect the meaning of life. A retreat that can be a spiritual getaway from the chaotic world in which we live in. Learning how to live simple, happy lives, in a traditional Greek Orthodox manner.
This religious getaway can be looked to as an example of how one can enjoy the simple things that God has given to us. How the natural beauty of Earth is, how the untouched, mountainous landscape of Greece can be a place of devine rescue.
A place where all people can venerate the relics of saints, learn about Greek culture, and walk in the footsteps of the Apostles.
At the end of the program, participants return to their lives and homes with a strengthened faith and with a greater appreciation for the church and for Greek culture and heritage.
